This is a new face bead, inspired by the sand dollar bead ornament series. The Me By The Sea bead is a self-portrait of sorts. This one has a small "beauty mark" to the left of the smile. I don't. I made several faces in this series, mainly to show *contentment* ahhhh. That is me when I am by the sea! The back has a shell-like impression, with raised topaz "bubbles" for added texture.
This glass bead was made by me using Moretti and Vetrofond glass. The base is ivory with topaz "hair" and copper green nose for that "antiqued" beachy look. The lips are deep red.
The hole runs top-to-bottom.
NOTE: The hole on this one is *bigger* than my usual face beads. The bead was created on a 1/8" mandrel. The hole runs the length of the bead. All of my beads are created in my studio by me and fully annealed in my computer-controlled kiln.

Width (side-to-side): 25.0 mm
Bead Height (hole-to-hole): 19.0 mm
25 mm is approximately = to 1 INCH
